Up to Keswick again for a week away and our first walk was Route 4 - The St. Johns Vale skyline...we'd done High Rigg separately on our last visit so were eager to get back and finish them off.
There was still loads of snow up on the tops when we set off and after a fairly hair-raising (for me, at least!) scramble up on to Clough Head the rest of the walk was relatively easy going. Normally it would have been absolutely fine but the path was totally covered in thick snow and ice and we had to be very careful making our way up the path towards the summit! Plenty of expletives were uttered by me but Chris was great and talked me across it no problem!

Luckily after that and a bit of a trudge up to Great Dodd it was fairly easy going (although bloody freezing despite the sunshine!) and the views of the snow capped surrounding fells were fantastic, we could even see skiers on Raise which was pretty cool. We took in the summits of Watson's Dodd and Stybarrow Dodd next before a steep descent to Sticks Gill which completely did our knees in and a walk back along the road to where we'd left the car. A fab walk with especially good views due to the snow.
