Ling Fell, Sale Fell - Sun 5th Nov 2017

We went back the next day to do the couple of fells we'd missed yesterday and it was such a beautiful autumnal day that I was glad we'd saved them!
First up was Ling Fell which was a straightforward path winding round the base and then a short fairly steep climb up to the top. Fab views from the trig point and an easy descent back to the road.  Up and down in about 45 minutes. Then we crossed the road and headed up Sale fell... another easy track running alongside the wall leading to Kelsick farm before a steady ascent up to the top. This one took us a little longer but mainly because we were a bit tired and achey from yesterday. A nice little walk to finish off our first weekend in the lakes for over a year. Hopefully we won't leave it as long next time!
