Low Fell and Fellbarrow (29th Aug 2011)

We walked these two little fells on the bank holiday weekend and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Keswick for a couple of hours! It was a lovely little 2 hour walk, nice and easy but with beautiful views of the Buttermere valley. Starting from Thackthwaite we followed the lane up to the footpath turning right and following a clear track all the way up to Low Fell summit. Then we retraced our steps back to a gate and continued up along the side of the ridge fence on to Fellbarrow summit. All in all a lovely little walk and 2 more Wainwright's crossed off the list!
