It's really windy at the top and the first time we've had to use our waterproofs to keep out the breeze - its not really nice enough to hang around so we head down Grisedale passing Ruthwaite lodge on the way. From here you have the option of adding on Helvellyn or St Sunday Crag, but they'll have to wait for another day....the coast to coast is enough of a challenge in itself for us and we're also looking forward to the prospect of arriving early into Patterdale and having a bit of a lazy afternoon!
