We wake up to the sound of Heather knocking on the side of our tent with our breakfast butties - i have to say i've never been brought breakfast in bed on a campsite before - now that is what i would call good service!! We're already regretting the amount of wine we drank last night but sitting out in the sunshine watching the ducklings run around the campsite soon brings us round and we manage to get the tent packed up just as the Packhorse van arrives to pick up our gear! We've decided to take the lower route through the Swaledale valley - it sounds like a much more scenic walk and to be honest i'm not really bothered about looking at a load of disused lead mines! It turns out to be one of the loveliest days walking on the entire trip! Following the river Swale down through the valley all the way to Reeth.
