We wake up to another day of sunshine and really can't believe our luck with the weather especially through the lakes where it can be unpredictable, to say the least!
However, Chris' asthma has got really bad during the night and its touch and go for a while whether we might have to either stay another night in Stonethwaite or abandon the whole thing altogether! I'm absolutely gutted at the prospect of going home so early - and know that if we stay another night here it will mess up all our pre-booked accomodation for the remainder of the trip - but eventually we decide to put one of our bags on the Packhorse van and try to carry on as far as Grasmere. Luckily it's a shorter and much easier walk than the previous couple of days walking and we take things nice and steady.
