The next day was the most gorgeous autumn sunny day, perfect walking weather so we headed to Dodd woods and parked in the forestry commission car park before heading up on the forest trails until we got to the turn off for Dodd on the right hand side.
We decided to leave this one til the end and headed left up the steep path up to Carl Side, we eventually joined the main path and headed onto the flat top of Carl side before a easy short walk onto Long side and then a beautiful ridge walk onto the summit of Unlock Pike.
The views were completely stunning back towards keswick and all around, we could even see the Isle of Man in the far distance!
Then we headed back down the main path towards White Stones and back down to the Dodd path where we quickly made our way up to the summit point for more lovely views.
We took the circular forest path back through the woods and even saw a red squirrel on the way. We got back to the car 4
