Rest day - Bowness-on-Windermere

We had a lovely day in Bowness-on-Windermere with our friends Fran & James, with an eventful boat trip on Coniston which involved us being towed half way back across the lake! Top tip - if they offer you boat number P10...run a mile!! The next day we hang around at the hotel to watch the royal wedding before catching the train from Bowness to Carlisle and a taxi to Bowness-on-Solway where we'll be staying the night at the Maia lodge. Then it's off to the Kings arms for a huge dinner, and meet the pub's pet pig! Before an early night, ready to start walking again tomorrow.
