West Highland Way - 2015

Earlier this year we decided to walk the West Highland Way in Scotland. The route stretches for 95miles from Milngavie, just outside Glasgow up to Fort William in the highlands!
We'd seen photos and other people's blogs so were really excited about finally doing it, i'm glad to say it more than surpassed our expectations...both in terms of the stunning scenery and also in the friendliness of everyone we met on the way. There was a real sense of camaraderie along the way with lots of people all along the walk, a stark contrast from last years Pennine Way adventure!
We decided to do the walk in 5 days walking south to north and managed to fit in a days sightseeing in Glasgow (not to mention a fab meal at the Ubiquitos Chip!) before driving to Milngavie where we stayed at the premier inn the night before our walk. We parked our car for the duration of the walk at Bankell farm campsite for £2 a day which seemed pretty reasonable and fell asleep to the sound of rain pounding on the windows hoping for better weather on our first day of walking!
