Langdale Pikes - 23rd Aug 2014

So for the first time this year we headed up to the lakes for the bank holiday weekend staying at the national trust campsite at Great Langdale.  It was a beautiful weekend and we ticked off another 4 wainwrights…Loft Crag, Pike of Stickle, Thunacar Knott and Harrison Stickle.  It was a steep climb out of the valley followed by some lovely ridge walking and a bit of scrambling on Pike of Stickle, all in all a great walk in the sunshine followed by a few pints at the Sticklebarn tavern!
